The District holds a deposit on every active account.  The deposit charge is not indicative of a residents' ability to pay their bills or their past history.  The deposit remains with the District until 18 consecutive months of prompt payments are received...then the deposit is credited to your account.  In the event that the property is leased, the District holds, (for the term of the lease), a deposit on the tenant as well as the property owner. 

A deposit is required for domestic as well as irrigation meters.  The deposit fee is based upon the meter size and will appear on the first monthly billing.
